Pausing music?

by Vern Jensen · in Torque Game Builder · 08/21/2008 (3:45 pm) · 6 replies

I'm adding music to my game using .OGG sounds, and was wondering how to pause and resume the music where it left off. I'm sure I saw something about this earlier, but can't for the life of me find it.

If you have the source code license you can use this:

Otherwise you're out of luck I'm afraid.

Yes, I do have the engine source. Thanks for the link! I'll probably just end up using this:

http://www.garagegames.com/index.php?sec=mg&mod=resource&page=view&qid=9385

But due to all the engine changes requires, I'm going to wait, since I'm using 1.7.2 at the moment, and might want to upgrade to 1.7.4 first.

This really should be integrated into the TGB engine by now. Indie license holders should be able to pause music - it's a pretty basic feature.

True that... btw, when is the next build scheduled for a release?

@Ehrlichmann - We usually do not post release dates unless we *know* we can hit them. However, I'll post this thread in an e-mail to the TGB devs.
