Have TGE 1.5.x but can't access a 1.4.x resource?

This strikes me as a bit weird...
I have a registered copy of TGE 1.5.2 (indie), but I've run into a few resources (here's an example of one such I came aross earlier) that I can't view since my license is for 1.5.x and not 1.4.x.
Now correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the 1.5.x codebase derive directly from the 1.4.x? And aren't many 1.4.x resources translatable to 1.5.x, often with little or no modification required? I can understand wanting customers to upgrade and denying access to more recent releases as a result, but denying access to legacy code for older versions seems strange.
So far I've only run into a couple examples of this. If it's not intended behavior I'll keep an eye out and post others.

I'm having the same problem. Is there something I need to check?

Guess anyone else having this same issue probably ought to post in here so the adminimonsters only need to look in one place. ;-)

Cool - I figured it was a bout of serverside weirdness since it only happened a couple times. (Not that serverside anything ever goes weird on occasion or anything. :-D )Guess anyone else having this same issue probably ought to post in here so the adminimonsters only need to look in one place. ;-)

Now why does everyone have to go about this on a case to case basis. This should be a blanket no brainer. anyone with a TGE/TGB/TGEa license should have full access to all the previous resources. i dont know how many times i have seen this request and it seems like its a matter of adding a few lines of code to each account.

I'd imagine it's a simple configuration issue somewhere. Forum security settings tend to be overcomplicated for the task so I can see where the occasional person might slip through the cracks if it's done manually. (Personally I'd automate the process if possible, and even then it's still possible for a setting to be missed.)

You should be good to go, Rickey.

The problem comes down to the way the original database was set up with product associations with the forums, I believe. So I go in and set it manually because the product access rights for 1.5 and pre-1.5 are different. The new site should fix this issue since access rights will be defined differently. You should be good to go, Rickey.

Note, as a TGEA owner, you can add TGE to your shopping cart for $0.You should have it on your account now, though.
