Ok, first things first.
1.) What programs do you guys use to create your character models in Torque? I have TGE, and I am using 3DS Max 9. And I was wondering if I made a bad choice on getting Max for my character design. Is it capable on creating and animating my characters in max for torque? I don't know much about character model design atm and am trying to get feedback on its compatibility with torque.
Second, I have several models I have done. But my latest ones are characters. I have nothing special yet, and have not gotten to animating yet. But I have a human, and a dragon. Here is a picture of the dragon so far. Still tuning it up, and gotta add legs. Not the greatest, but it's my 2nd real attempt at character design.

Let me know what you think so far, and any tutorials on animating, and techniques for modeling are welcome. I am still learning.

It appears, though, that you are using SubDs. Be aware that you cannot use these directly in-game, so it's your non-SubD low-poly mesh that has to look good. Sorry, if I'm stating obvious stuff to you here.
MAX isn't the easiest program to get into it but as far as capability goes, you are firmly on the safe side. MAX is more or less the industry-standard for doing that kind of job. As for the Torque exporter, there is one and it seems to work well, but I have no experience myself with it. AFAIK most content available for Torque has been created in MAX.
