Lighting players on fire.

A taste of flame
Another taste of flame
BBQ
I don't know if anyone has done anything similar to this yet, so I decided to post this. I used the torque's particle engine to create the effect.
The next step is to get the player to emit a dynamic light when on fire.
If anyone shows any interest in this I'll work on a tutorial.

Actually I was planning on doing something similar, but I'd really like to make the fire effect local to the point of impact.

To modify this to have the fire at the point of impact would be nominal, especialy if you have hit-boxes on your players.

Sadly, geocities won't let me see it either, my Tribes2 mod had a lot of particle effects that would track players, fire included... Very fun stuff if you ask me. Node support would be great.

Just out of curiosity Joshua are you still working on or planning on working on this.

I'm currently working on flamethrowers, and lighting terrain and interiors on fire. I have it working concurrently with Melv's fxLight object.
I have a bit more work to do before I release it to the communtiy though.
