Meshes material?

I have implented mesh hiding and the following resource:

Which makes you able to add textures above the base texture of player models. Question is: how would i go about to make these changes in the texture to apply to the meshes also?
Would i have to use the same base texture on the meshes?
I dont have a multiMesh model to test it out on because the source files are outdated or something and wont export properly.
Is it vague? Thanks for your time anyways.

but that didn't really have all the functionality I needed. For my game I need the ability to not only change the base texture for a player, but also hair, and extra armour shape textures separately (using mesh hiding), all inside the same DTS. With the mentioned resource even the hair and other mesh data in the DTS would take on the texture you applied to the body. With this resource only the body would be affected and you can still hide and show other mesh data like different hair styles and use setSkinName() to affect those. In fact, you could apply layers of textures to the hair or other mesh data even, separately.
Does that mean that with the other resource mentioned, the extra meshes would also take on the texture being applied over the shape?
Edit2: I would be really, really happy if somone could link me to a dts shape with at least a rudimentary mesh list, it could be something as simple as an primitive shape just to test out mesh hiding n stuff =)
Edit3: Reading through even more thorughly(spelling?) the poster of the (very nice) resource claims that you could even apply layers of textures to the hair or other mesh data even, separately.
Is that supported by the resource as it is or is it more like very easy to do FROM said resource?
P.S
Whats up with white people having dreadlocks and speaking with Jamaican accent even though they like grew up in... like Frankfurt AM? They never get laid and have to f*ck themselves?
(you know the idea of having a very unnatural hairstyle and speaking a lot of garbish about ex Ethopian dictators is uncannly like that of 5 year old pretending to be spiderman)
And why the blazing %/%& are the same people attracted to my local surf spot!
