General guidance question

by Randy Thomas · in Torque Game Engine · 08/08/2008 (9:37 pm) · 4 replies

I'm creating a town for my students to virtually walk through. I want them to click on items in the town in order to have information pop up, but I don't know where to begin to learn how to make an object in the game clickable. I have the all in one programming guide and the game programmers guide, but I can only find triggers that the avatar would walk through, not a mouse click. Where do I start?

Thanks

I think what you are looking for has been labeled object selection, if you do a search for object selection you will find much information.

Here is probably a good start for you.

This seems to be an updated version of the resource linked above. I'm not sure which one is better though.

Awesome. I saw several terms and wasn't quite sure which one was specific to my needs.

Thanks!
