Error #27 when exporting any imported fbx object with skin

Hi everyone,

I haven't been able to export any skinned meshes which were imported in the .fbx format. I struggled with this error for awhile with a character and decided to smooth bind a simple box and export it as an fbx from maya, bring that into Houdini, and export a .dts from it. No matter what, I always seem to get errors such as this one:

Error #27:Vertex 13 missing weight on skin "pCube1_geo2"

Has anyone else run into this?

Not yet[in HD], have you looked at that particular point/vertex in a spreadsheet to see if it is normalized to 1? Can you provide the .hipnc file? I have seen this type of error before, perhaps there's an 'orphaned' vertex somewhere in the Scene or shape that didn't get weighted. This may show that the ROP is not assigning any miss weighted points to the Scene Root, 'usual' behavior for exporters I've seen...?

What build of HD are you working in and what version of Maya/FBX? I don't know what type of weighting 'smooth binding' is, unfamiliar with the Maya product.
