Howdy I know they are working on the 3d component of torqueX but will it be almost the same thing as torque advanced?
Like same features, relatively same gui, etc

Ok good to hear. I know it was way different, just wondering if it be kinda like ue3 compared to ue2. Both completely different, but with many similarities.Any idea on the texture maps that will be accepted? (e.x normal, specular, ambient)

I think I know where GamerWill is going with his question. Basically, feature-wise (in terms of performance and graphics), will TGEA and Torque X (3D) be pretty much equivelant?

Ya thats pretty much what im wondering, but also when working within the editor will it be similiar (as if u compare ue2 - ue3 they are very similiar, but not exactly the same)

TX is completely new and built on top of XNA. So it gets the benefits and the warts of XNA (like GUI development under XNA).
It's not a 1:1 ratio comparison. Such a comparison is nearly impossible to do. Kind of like when I get asked to compare TGEA, Unity, TrueVision3D and DarkBasic. Eeek. Very, very different types of engines with very, very different development strategies.
