What is the best book to help with programming because the only thing i know how to do in programming is make objects rotate.

About the author

i'm 16 and i really enjoy making games and testing them. i started making games when i was 11 using game maker, but then i started using torque when i was about 13 and now i fell in love with game designing and look forward to making a career out of it.

If you are talking about C++ I always recommend Thinking In C++. Because its good, and its available on the net for free.

If you are talking about TorqueScript, or C++ in the TGE specifically, any of the Torque books are good.

I've got all the torque books and they are all useful, personally I found that whilst Game Programmers Guide to Torque (GPGT) covers more of the scripting I got a lot more out of 3D Game programming All in One.... I also find now I know most of the things and use the books purely for reference I get frustrated by the GPGT as it's index isn't great.
