Looking for a blog (projectile spread)

I remember seeing a blog where someone used an array of random numbers, synced on the client, to create projectiles from a shotgun that are spread the same way on the client and server. Or something similar. I've searched for things like 'projectile spread' but can't seem to find it.
Thanks in advance, if anyone knows where it's hidden...

No, I don't think so... I *think* the one I'm thinking of may have used C++ instead of/as well as scripts. There was a picture with a shotgun and a tree... I think... or maybe I dreamt it.
