Is there a reason it's closed source? I would love to upgrade the model select with a modern directory browser.

It would be nice to have, though. I probably would never touch it and do anything with it, but I bet I would learn something going through it.

Not sure what the contracts were between GG and Dave. Also, I believe it was built on a very old version of TGE and TLK with zero source documentation. I believe it is the same problem as Constructor from a support stance. It would be nice to have, though. I honestly think this is a item that needs to be addressed. Showtools pro is probably one of the most important items next to any art tool, or any code tool. This tool needs to be updated, or at least redone with some of the new features, i mean its nice the way it is. But the TLK and torque ingeneral has changed. And with the advances TGEa there needs to be a view to allow shaders to be added or loaded. I dont thinkits outragous to ask for these updates. Even if they are simply stripped out versions of the actual engine. I have seen a few custom ones that are around in screenshots. Those need to be brougth forward. Id bet they would make some money. Id pay for one.

I think it would be great, too. And if a community member or team wanted to take on such a project I would love to see it. That's why ShowTool Pro exists in the first place. Dave Wyand took it on. A TGEA-ified one would be great!

I agree, ShowToolPro, needs a little love; trigger data shows up as ERR....even though triggers are there and work inside the engine.....go figure.

Also Showtools Pro hasnt been updated since 2004. How many versions and updates of Torque have there been since then? Its a no brainer. GG should get right on this one as a standard tool. Right next to torsion. and yes i have read the time needed to do these things. But delaying it, i dont think will make it happen any faster.
