To All Utah Area Indies,
Okay, it's way past time again to announce another Utah Indie Games Night. It will be held on Thursday July 31st at 7pm at the Ninjabee Offices in Orem. We were orginally going to hold this at ITT-Tech this time, but due to some unforseen circumstances, we've had to move it to Ninjabee. Thanks again to Ninjabee for hosting this on such short notice. Email me if you need directions to get there.
The format will be as we've done in the past, an informal get together to chat, eat pizza, talk about the industry, see what others are doing, show off your current project and get feedback, etc. Please bring some cash to chip in for the pizza and munchies, if you can.
If you have a demo to show please let me know before hand, so we can plan on it better. We'll start out with a few formal presentations, and then, we'll be doing the rest in an informal "expo style", as in the past. Also, if you have any other questions, suggestions, announcements, or something you think that would benefit the group, please let me know. This should be an enjoyable and worth while night for everyone. I hope to see everyone there!

I have to say this again: I hate how I found out about this after I moved half-way across the county from Utah.

Sorry I didn't see your offer till now. That's an interesting idea about running it over net radio. While I'm always looking to expand the audience of this event, I'm not sure about some of the logistics of doing this. Most of the meeting consists of conversations/demos that are occuring at the same time (think of an expo floor), so I'm not sure how well that would work. We have done some more formal presentations to the whole group for part of the meeting, and that portion could work to be broadcast, however I hestitate some wondering if sticking an "on-air" microphone in front of some of the attendees and/or presenters would make them "gun shy" and scare them off.
I think I'll have to pass on your offer this time around (mostly because of lack of time), but I'll discuss it with some of the group tomorrow and see how they feel about that. Perhaps we could do something like that for next time (which would be in October).
Thanks again for the offer. Good Luck with IndieZen Radio; I certainly like what you're trying to do.

I would love to be able to attend. Having it on a thursday, makes the drive from Idaho and getting back to work at 7am a bit difficult. Of course, my schedule makes if VERY difficult! Hopefully you guys have a great turnout!

We were a little low in numbers this time around (about 20-22 people showed up), but it was still a great evening. Once again, another big thanks to Ninjabee for hosting this event. Here are three detailed write ups about the event
