Clipped sound bug in 1.7.1?

I'm experiencing a bug with weapon firing sounds TGEA 1.7.1. Basically, only the first few hundred milliseconds of the sound play -- everything beyond is clipped.

I've verified this in Stronghold. Replace the default crossbow sound in the crossbow audio profile with any sound over 1 second in length. You'll see that only only the first part of the sound plays.

If anyone can verify this or has any insight, I'd be extremely appreciative. I believe this is something that broke in 1.7.1, as I'm pretty sure these sounds worked in 1.7.0.

Also, as a data point -- only weapon fire sounds appear to be clipping. Other sounds, such as death cry and pain sounds, are playing correctly.

I've updated to the March 2008 SDK, hoping that might fix it, but no change.
