TGEA 1.7.1 compile

I'm trying to recompile a version of TGEA 1.7.1 and I keep getting errors related files that seem to be from directX, it looks like only the include files which have their filename written in < > instead of quotes. Does anyone know this problem? Is it I need to download the DirectX SDK before compiling TGEA? If I do need the DirectX SDK, is there somewhere that I should have read this but didn't so I can avoid more of these questions? :p

I too am having problems compiling TGEA 1.7.2 using VS2008 on Windows Vista Ultimate 64...

Ok, I found the references in the Torque Documentation which gives instructions to DL the DirectX SDK kit and even on how to install and configure it. I know my compiler had errors other than DX related stuff, but let's start here and then try again.
