Build windows on mac

So I've trolled through the forums all the way back to 2006 and have come to the conclusion that TGB doesn't offer a way to publish your game across mac/pc lines "out of the box", and that you need to either buy a copy for both platforms and share the project or find someone on the forums who would be kind enough to make a build for you. Does that seem correct or am I missing some vital bit of info?

Thanks, R.

You don't have to buy a copy for each platform. You do need to have both platforms available, however. Otherwise, debugging could be a potential nightmare as OS updates or drivers are released.

True, I'll probably end up buying a PC version down the line to make sure things are working properly but for now is there a way to build a PC version from the Mac version? Right now when I select "windows" from the build options it spits out all the appropriate game files, some DLL's but no EXE to run.

You already own it.

Go to the download page from your account, and see the link that says "Click here to view downloads for all Operating Systems". That's where you get a list of all versions, first for Windows, then Mac and finally..the lonely, single, outdated Linux version.

Inside the Mac archive I download, there are sources, Mac apps and Windows EXEs. From the builder, it is possible to export both Windows and Mac versions of the game with compiled scripts. You should have most of what you need right there.

You shouldn't need the full source in most cases, although I like it so that I can change the appname right there in the build on Mac.
