GuiTextEditCtrl - Doesn't work sometimes

In my game, I use the GuiTextEditCtrl to let players create profiles (save games). However, at least one of my 15 beta testers is having difficulty with this control. It looks like a bug, so I thought I would post it.

Here is what the beta tester reported:

On the main screen, I selected "New game" and then "Story Mode." I was asked to create a new profile, and all the slots said "[empty]" I clicked on the first one, but I couldn't type anything into the text box. Tried the other "[empty]" slots as well, but couldn't type anything.

...

My keyboard... by English do you mean whether I got it in the US or if I've made any changes to my keyboard settings? I bought my laptop here in the US, but my keyboard language settings are set to English International instead of the default settings.

...

Hmm... After installing beta G, the first thing I did was to create a new profile, and it worked. After viewing the intro cut scene, I tried creating another profile but now I'm having the same problem as before. I also tried to overwrite the profile I just created, but couldn't type anything into that slot either.

...

I got the "can't type" thing again, and then immediately closed my game, so hopefully that should be the last thing on the log. I did a "save as" to my desktop, and then zipped it up. If for some weird reason that affects the file in any way, just let me know and I'll upload it again without saving it to my desktop.

This appears to be due to an Intel card... The same one that a couple of other beta testers are using. For some reason, the defaultPrefs script isn't redirecting this card to D3D properly. Looking into the problem tonight...
