GPGT Console Error

When I hit the tilde key (~) to pull up the console it is getting cut off at the top and bottom. When I attemt to scroll down to the bottom where the new input should be it is not visible at all. Do you have any thoughs on what could cause this. I'm new to torque and game programming so I'm trying to follow your book verbatem but I can't see what I'm trying to enter in the console window. Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks
