Action Rpg

Im looking to make an action rpg battle system..but I don't know where to start. Any advice?

Start with what you want that battle system to be like for the end-user, and then break it down into smaller and smaller pieces from there. Once you have that list, then you'll know what you need to do to get it working.

Hi Kevin (Cunningham),

I'd suggest you start with TGB Adventure Kit for the 'action' part. The rpg part is a bit trickier since it relates to stats, level progression, etc.

Are we talking something in the style of diablo, since you mentioned an action based rpg, or something in the style of the final fantasy games where combat is handled in a turn based system. Either are withing the capabilities of TGB, but as Kevin put it, thats pretty vague, as well as its going to take some work to implement it well.
