Physical Zone Question

Is it possible to use a physical zone as an invisible wall that becomes activated and deactived in script? I've been playing with the property values for a physical zone in a mission but I can't seem to get it to behave just how I want it to. What I want is a invisible solid impassable wall. Like a forcefield that you can't see. Then i will use these in conjunction with some animated doors and triggers so that when the open sequence is done playing the physical zone will go disabled.
