Dts .ms3d

Hi im new here ,I just wondering why is both .dts and ms3d file need to be in same folder?
Isn't .dts file are model and .ms3d are too ?

First, welcome to the community!
And yes, they are both model files, but Torque only needs the .dts file and a power of 2 texture associated with it to load in the engine. You can ususally drop it in a sub folder of your "shapes" directory and then be able to find it in your staticshapes tree in the ingame editor.
The .ms3d is, as you probably already know, is just your Milkshape3D file version.
