TGEA Demo Crash

by Andrew Brick · in General Discussion · 06/01/2008 (11:00 am) · 7 replies

Just wondering if I'm supposed to have anything installed to be able to run the TGEA demo (the "Forge Demo"). I downloaded it and tried to run it, but it crashes before it even starts.

Running XP Pro SP 3, PentiumD 3.2GHz, 2GB RAM, nvidia GeFORCE 7800 GT (x2 on two displays) (with the latest drivers).

That's strange, looks as though your system could run it. Is there any info in the console log you can post?

Your system can definitely handle it. What are you running into with the other demos? Same crash or just just crashing on Forge?

Thanks, issue resolved.

I had the same problem and I've had this before. It's amazing what a driver update from laptopvideo2go can fix. Was this your solution? If not, how did you resolve the issue?

I'm actually having the same problem. I know my comp can handle it. It freezes on the "Lighting Mission."

@ Chet

Are you sure it's freezing? The lighting phase can take a while on its first run and can appear as though the game froze.

Scott,

Thanks a lot! I guess I just had to pass the test of patience on that demo. It did seem like it was going nowhere during the lighting mission. I had stepped away for a little bit and when I came back the demo was running great!

Thank You
