Torque 1.4 Question with constructor

by Benjamin Stoneking · in Constructor · 05/27/2008 (7:43 pm) · 2 replies

Ok so i've been working hard and with much frustration trying to procure an interior made by myself. But it seems that there may be some things stopping me so i have a few questions.

-Does constructor export for Torque 1.4?

-If the above is true than, would someone be kind enough to help a noob out of the dark and make the simplest interior possible and ready to be placed anywhere in torque?

Please help... I've been working extremely hard to get a handle on this and i'm loosing hope!

First of all calm down. Get the latest constructor. Open it up. Now first things first make a shape, goto the top left hand side, see the shapes, make one, a square is best. you notice there is a modify tab too, to move the edges. You need to then after you make the shape, save it, save it as a square.csx then you will also see export. In your case export as a legacy dif, and export it directly to your interiors game folder for this simple task.

youshould be able to load up your game and put your shiny new cube inthe game. Now..

Search is your friend. Search for constructor tutorials

Unfortunatly modeling isnt something folks can do for you. These are some good tutorials. STart small, my first constructor models died swiftly after i learned what the hollow and slice buttons where.
