Texturing this roof is giving me fits...

This roof does not seem to want to texture at all. the roof is a simple pyramid stretched on the gables, so the top only has four faces, which is were the problems are. I have never had this much trouble texturing faces. I can reset the faces each time I try to fit it, but everything is distorting each face. None of the faces on top are even shifting, even when I try to shift one point it will get way out of proportion. I have rebuilt the roof thinking the brushes were off but the faces still do not want to texture. Each face is on a slight angle but even when I line the brush with the grid on a straight face it will not shift and usually this works but not this time on either of these faces...

Ok, try enterting face select mode (on the bottom of the screen, click faces) and select the faces of the roof, on the object menu on the left will be a different menu. Under texture alignment, click on "World" and make sure the "As One" checkbox is not checked. I think this should solve your problem.

I really can't give you a detailed description on my texturing method for these roofs, that is how different they are. I just tried a whole new roof, starting with a new brush, and still the same thing. If someone wants to try texturing this roof for me I will be happy to send you the texture and the constructor file...thanks...Tim

Morrock, I've been away from this build for a few days. I just tried your suggestion, select faces, click world, and turn off 'as one'. I am still not able to shift in any direction, the shift still scales.I really can't give you a detailed description on my texturing method for these roofs, that is how different they are. @morrock...there is a new update that has a reset brush function that is supposed to fix this problem..I have just updated and I'm tinkering with it now....I suggest install the update if you have similar problems with texturing...
