Custom object types not displaying until moved in editor...

We've recently started evaluating Torque for use in an upcoming game and are starting to feel more comfortable working in the engine.
We've started creating a few custom types for use in our game (based on ShapeBase and GameBase for animated model/code-driven drawing respectively). The problem we're seeing is that neither will draw properly / in the right location until after being "nudged" in the editor.
That is, a loaded model in our ShapeBase-derived class will load up properly, and the bounding box etc. will display properly if we switch to editor-mode, but the model won't actually draw there until we ever-so-slightly move the model in editor (at which point it instantly snaps to place).
Is this anyone else has run into before?
Thanks,
Bryan
