Question about the multiplayer support

by JoeSmith · in Torque Game Engine · 06/05/2001 (5:13 pm) · 7 replies

I know that you can have servers where players join the game. However, for our games since they are small and inde most people probably won't put up servers for them...

Is it possible for it to be like RainbowSix where you connect to that person and they are the server?? Like what they did through MPlayer??

GG Staff??

Thanks.

thats what im asking can it be done ...

like say in HL you need Dedicated servers, the game runs like crap when someone hosts a game (using create game). But in RainbowSix it ran fine as long as the host was on cable or better ...

See what Im getting at??

Yes it is built in.

You can just play a game.
or play and host a game.
or just host a game.

ya in HL you need an amazing computer with an awesome connection to run a decent game ..

That's great about the multiplayer support that definitly helped us out ..

I just got a new comp so I can actually run T2 now yay so im gonna go out and get it so I can explore the features see what the engine is capable of ..
