1. What he did was completely illegal.

2. There should be tutorials in the TDN.

3. Under company in the nav, click "Jobs/Internships"

4. I don't think GarageGames wants to buy other peoples games, but you might be able to sell it here.

Independant Licences are not transferable and are a per person, regardless of if he sold you the computer. Its assigned to the one person,not the computer. So, no, your not allowed you publish anything with your engine. It would be no different then having your friend install is copy on your new computer. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. but if he charged you a extra 100 bucks for that "deal" you got ripped off. particularly considering a legitimate TGE license is only 150.

For future posterity, even though 1 was answered:

The indie license is non-transferrable. He has no legal bearing to sell the license to you at any price, just as you have no legal bearing to use that license since the transfer is not possible. Luckily the indie license is inexpensive and tied to you for as long as you choose to use it, should you purchase it. TorqueX is free in binary form, so you are good to go in that direction!

I would strongly recommend looking at the TX 3D templates in the TX 2.0 demo directory to figure this out. Also, once you've exhausted that route, ask for clarification on the forums (as well as reading the forums where others have already asked for help). The 3D engine in TX is still mostly undocumented, though we are currently working hard on getting it up.

I understand why you can't use a credit card, so just get someone to buy you a pre-paid Visa Cash card with $150 USD on it, and you can buy your own copy from the website and be legit once in and for all. I am sure you can find someone trust worthy in the US from the forums that would be willing to help you out.
