What will cause a texture to start blurring....

I've had this problem only once before on a very small build, "a tent". The problem being that in the middle of the project something I've done has caused a texture or some textures to start blurring. When I had the problem before I did several things to make it better but I never knew what actually caused it.
This time I'm on a fairly big project and it's been fine up 'til now. It was fine until I started on a church pew and it has several brushes in it as I have knifed it up pretty good to create curves....I will send it to someone if someone wants to see if it creates the same problem for you. If someone is interested I must point out that the blurring doesn't happen to the pew, it starts blurring on a completely different area on the exterior of the whole build...so you might want to examine certain areas....

Thanks...I'll study on that...I've been playing around with the groups and I made a group of the pew. There are about 20 brushes in just one side of the pew because of the knife. There are 2 sides like this one. The back and seat of the pew are each 1 brush. So in all there are about 42 brushes that make up the pew..... Do you know if making groups are necessary in this case or if groups are supposed to help in these sort of circumstances?

I don't think so. Groups are more for organizing your brushes in Constuctor than they are organizing geometry in the BSP tree, I believe. Jaimi would be better at answering that, though. He has intimate knowledge of the BSP side of C'tor.

@David: You are correct - Groups are only for organizing the brushes in constructor, and have no impact on the exported geometry.

...the problem is almost solved with the mipmapping change from 16 to 64...however it is still blurry from certain views but not as bad as it was...hopefully texturing it correctly will make it better

Thanks guys...I think it is good enough for me to move along to something else now, I can't play with that function as much as I would like but changing that in interior cc. basically fixed it....you guys are awesome for responding as quick as you do...
