Starsiege to be Officially Completed

I know a few old Siegers are around here, plus some Tribals (post-SS timeline) and the original dev team, so...
SS is being completed, as it was meant to be. So, we're creating the vehicles that never made it, rebalancing the game and adding new weapons, etc. It was going to be known as SS Redux until the project was shut down by Havas. However, they've given the go ahead for the community itself to create an official patch under the head of a couple of the original dev crew (one of them, Evis, created the thread announcing it).
However, we don't have many modelers in our community, certainly not as many as here, so if anyone is interested in helping out for any reason, you can show up and post your contact info here, and what you can do to help: community.sierra.com/WebX?14@23.32XIb2hlcFf.1@.ef9950c
Note that the only models that can work are ones created in 3DS Max 2.0-2.5 (I believe), as SS was created using that format of DTS. We can provide the DTS exporter for that version, but we're having a hard time finding 2.5 itself anywhere.
Even some cheering from the bleechers would be appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

Yes, this sounds great, but is the SS community still in good numbers?

It's starting Nov. 30th and lasts from then to the end of the weekend.
Just show up on the boards and post your e-mail and they'll send you the info (or just find the server on those days... it should be obvious.)
The community is small, of course (old game), but we still have about 200 to 500 regulars, and a large number of people that pop in and out.

From what I can tell, a lot has been completed in terms of new weapons and what not. What we're having a problem with is getting new models and figuring out the code so that one or two bugs can be fixed.[edit]: Sorry, was thinking of the Reunion. Check above.

What happened to this post? Did this take place or never happen? I'd be willing to help make new DTS hercs and models. I assume since it's so old it never took place. Darn. I am working on a SS2 Mod Myself (New tanks and hercs and weapons) hope to have it out very soon.
