Buying' your game...

So I have heard a few people saying some stuff about 'buying' a game. That means that you get all your art and scripts from content packs and resources and then basically selling it as a game. I have seen many more people saying things like that, and I was wondering if this means game designers that actually MAKE their games might just get pushed behind the production line. Any thoughts?

You know, I stumbled upon this post again, and now that I think about it, it is probably a GOOD idea no matter what to aim for only "game in a day" complexity. As it will never stay that way unless you are literally in a Game in a Day competition. But that is probably a very good way to spec your game out, by aiming for that simple a level.
