Hi All,
I am confusing about the purchase of the version of TGEA,
I followed this link: http://www.garagegames.com/products/torque/tgea/
and click on "Buy now TGEA" black button, and I got "product browsing page" from there I choose "Buy" from Indie section of the TGEA,
In that total web page there is no term like "TGEA 1.7.0"
now the question is, It is TGEA 1.0 or TGEA 1.7.0 version page?
Please give an answer.
Thank You,
Varma D.

there is no reason to start with a downgraded version. if you want a downgrade buy TGE then you will have your downgraded version.

why would you want 1.0 anyway your just downgrading your self as everything in the 1.0 comes in the newest build. the only real difference is that the latest build might have some of those 1.0 modified and that they added more stuff in the latest build.there is no reason to start with a downgraded version. if you want a downgrade buy TGE then you will have your downgraded version.

Windows XP or Vista
Intel or AMD Processor @ 1 Ghz
256 MB RAM (1GM recommended for Vista)
100% DirectX compatible video card with 128 MB video RAM required
DirectX"
if you don't have these requirements then that would be a reason why its running slow. now if you have these requirements then it might be some other little problem. i cant really say it runs slow as i got a very good computer and theres nothing slow in any of the versions for this computer. in mater of fact no game is slow maybe when i am online but thats there server thats slow not my computer.

i think i cant help you anymore as thats about all i know it could be. theres others that know code i don't know the code that much yet so it could be some place in there. :P
you could also open torque again and press the ~ button on your keyboard when in torque and see if there are any errors. have you tried updating your graphics card as well and directx should try those first. though you should get a error i think if they are not updated but try that anyways if you have not done it yet.

i wish i had a slow computer that worked but i don't anymore. only think i think it could be is maybe your ati card. i never used torque on my older computer which has a ati card but i had many problems with that ati card its why i will never own a computer with ati again.i think i cant help you anymore as thats about all i know it could be. theres others that know code i don't know the code that much yet so it could be some place in there. :P

I think the question should be; What demo are your running? Some of them are not expected to represent any real life gaming situation.

If thats the problem, the new 1.8.1 will blow your sox off, so better remove your shoes first!

hmm that could of saved me allot of posts theres a reason why 1.8.0 got updated its performance sucked because there was a problem in the terrain where it took up all your memory or something. 1.8.1 fixed that problem and its performance is even better then 1.7.1 and i not talking just a little better its allot better. :P

What is 1.8?

This is a discussion about TGEA, not TGB. 1.7.4 is the latest version of TGB. 1.8.1 is the latest version of TGEA. They are two separate engines.
