How Many Units Can You Expect to Sell?

Forget the money. And I know people have been saying, some people sell 5 units others sell tens of thousands ...

What does GarageGames think the average units sold of a game using the V12 will be. Are people willing to pay for these small time games?

Also, could we sell the product through our website as well as GarageGames if GG and the developer still split it 50/50??

Iv'e been to that thread a zillion times. All Jeff says is one developer sold 5 copies, another 7,500 per year and another $25,000 per month

What I am asking is does GG have an estimated average figure for units that a game will sell. I'm talking pure guestimate, pure average.

I think the only way you're going to find that out is if you develop it and release it into the market (via GG). There's no way GG could possibly know what a "unnamed", "ungenred" and most of all "unfinished" game is going to do in terms of sales. That's like asking how many people will purchase something from an area of the entertainment industry sometime in the future. Pretty vague, huh?

I personally don't understand most people's reluctancy in this. Financially it's only a $100 investment. How many times have you dropped that on a game you wish you'd never purchased or played once and it's collecting dust in your closet now? If you're an avid gamer, then chances are pretty high. Play the odds, it really is a win win situation. You have a chance to build your dream (or dreams), possibly make some money and (the most important part) you'll walk away with experience. My advice is as your first post begins, "Forget the money." ;)
