Trouble using "Sort Point". Where is the documentation?

I watched the "green robot" tutorial for torque x and was very interested in the sort point feature, which tgb also has. But I tried to move the point everywhere on the editor, and my character sprite keep being rendered above the house sprite. I moved the house and character points. I can't find any documentation about this feature! Why is that?
The sprites are both at the same layer, as shown in the tutorial. I tried the "back/forward within its layer" option, but no luck there either. Either the sprites would show above or bellow the other.
I'm using tgb 7.2.1 on window vista 2gb with geforce 8600m gt.

It sounds like you have your sprites set up correctly. Did you set the layer to use sort points? If not, here's how to do it:
1. With no objects selected, click the edit tab
2. Open the layer management tab
3. Use the drop down menu for your character's layer to set the sort method.
