Starter Tutorials

Hi, me and a friend just purchased Torque and are attempting to learn the program, unfortunately we keep getting to parts of the tutorial that simply dont match up with the TGB. For instance, while doing the platformer tutorial it tells us to click on Project->Tile Map Builder, we have no option with that name, only Image Map Builder. Secondly, while taking the Scripting tutorial it starts off by telling us to open the Torque Demo (is this the same as the TGB?) and press the "tilde" key to bring down the console to type in commands, this does not work for us and when we go into the files to edit the command line defining the hotkey for the Console, the folders we are told to edit do not exist, at least not where we are told to look for them. There's a good chance we are missing something extremely simple but it's de-railing our every attempt to actually get anywhere, any help or advice would be extremely beneficial.
