Material Builder in 2.0 doesn't match documentation.

Is there a user guide for 2.0? I'm reading through it and it seems to be out of date as it refers to the old Game Studio Express and not Game Studio 2.0.
Will this make me run into any problems as I want to do the basic tutorials?

David, your frustration is completely understandable. All the emphasis went on getting the engine out as fast as possible for everyone to play with - then, get the documentation in order. Documentation updates are on the way. I believe the animation checkbox has been replaced with the "Image Mode" drop list. When that list is set to CELL, you can enter the number or rows and columns that make up the animaiton. You're definitely not doing anything wrong - I think the lesson learned is probably to hold back on releasing the latest technology until all the documentation has been updated.John K.

I'm getting errors left, right and centre when trying to do the tutorials so I'm going to have to wait until a documentation update is released.

I have persevered and I would suggest you do the same as Torque is really good once you get going and start to understand more and more.
My only other concern for 'starters' is the tutorials show you how to do certain things and produce a certain outcome (very well too, some of the newer tutorials). However, there is no explanation as to 'why' these things work and how torque is 'making it happen' in the background, so it is hard to apply them and think of the bits you need when trying to put together something of your own...

I was the same when I started using Torque. The documentation is either non existent or very poor, which is a real shame as I m sure it has led to many pepole abandoning torque altogether and looking elsewhere.I have persevered and I would suggest you do the same as Torque is really good once you get going and start to understand more and more.

I was about to say that. I'm very little to no decent explanation on all of these objects and components etc that I'm using.

That freakin animation checkbox doesn't exist. The window I get for the Material Builder is different to the one shown in the documentation for both Torque X and Torque X Builder. It's missing the animation checkbox and the translucent checkbox. What am I doing wrong? I'm running version 2.0
