Does anyone have any free thruster are or tutorials on how to create this kind of thruster?

Are there any explosion tools out there that I can use with TGB?

Yeah, but I'm not good at them. I'm really an artist and would like for them to be nice. Do you have any recommendations now how to get a nice thruster using particle effects? And not the smoky effect in the demo, either.

Stanley, how were you able to use the exported images from ExGen inside of TGB?

Make sure that you use the color black as your background when using your explosion tool.
Then when you add the image,
Set the following Blending factors:
Set the source factor to : ONE
Set the destination factor to: ONE_MINUS_SRC_COLR
That should do it!!

Here's some examples: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92PoS1NBwHE
The key is to use multiple layers. The droneswarm explosions have a 4 frame flash, then an expanding fire effect with about 5 particles, then an expanding shockwave, then many small spark-like particles, and finally a dark smoke particle.

You know you can just set the particle mode in TGB to intense and you get additive transparency? I do all my explosions with the particle editor, so they don't all look the same. Here's some examples: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92PoS1NBwHE

Did you use the same approach for your bullets? I would really love to know how you did those! If so, how did you get the collision detection going?

Oh yeah, thanks. I've started doing them that way. Did you use the same approach for your bullets? I would really love to know how you did those! If so, how did you get the collision detection going?

Coner, The polish on that game is great! I love the look of it.. the warping of the planes in and out of stealth looked like it gook a while. I like the idea of adding drones to your character to increase it's power. Also it looks like you sacrificed a drone to explode like a bomb? Cool stuff.. keep it up.
