GuiDirectoryFileListCtrl and GuiDirectoryTreeCtrl

There is this page about the Gui's but the GuiDirectoryFileListCtrl and GuiDirectoryTreeCtrl aren't explained.
The person incharge of our GUI has asked me to find him some instructions on how to use those two controls. After searching i found out that the files are in /engine/gui but i cant make sense out of them. Could you please help explain GuiDirectoryFileListCtrl or GuiDirectoryTreeCtrl?
