V12 compiled ,and source versions?

Will you have two versions of the engine, one available as a compiled download for pure scriptable modding, and the other as the source for sale ?

Yes.

Let me correct my quick statement: There is only one version of the engine. You either buy the source to it so you can create you own very unique games or not and just mod the test application. The test application will be available for download separately from the engine and will be free.

Ah. Sounds like a good idea.

I remember back in the day, when Monolith had just bought the rights to their DirectEngine back from Microsoft and renamed it LithTech. They briefly had an binary eval version available for download that had a quasi-splash screen that came up. ...And a 3D Captain Claw model that was the coolest thing ever. :-)

Something akin to this for V12 sounds like a good move.
