We're a small startup game company with a passion to build original, really fun games for kids. These games have a special effect - they get kids to think creatively. We're continuing an incubation project started at Microsoft that resulted in 7+ patents, a new genre of gaming, and a seasoned team that works friction free together. Members of the team have shipped many successful games as well as operating systems and applications. Microsoft sponsors our game company; however we have complete freedom to define our destiny.
We are starting to partner with one of the leading toy companies. We will be a central offering to their marketing campaign in the coming years. We need a general game developer that feels comfortable programming a casual game from the ground up on a windows platform. At least 5+ years of experience in C++ development, expertise in C# and Managed code development is essential. Experience with DirectX, shader programming, 3DSMax or Maya plug-ins a plus. Experience on at least one shipped title is required. The job entails building games and engine components for "casual" games. A good sense of humor is always a plus.
If you are a strong game developer who has shipped at least one successful title (preferably a "casual" game), love the thought of starting something new with a small, fun, very seasoned team, and shares our passion to positively change the lives of kids through gaming - get hold of us.
