Astral Objects (Asteroids Tutorial Game)

It's finally here!
After 6 weeks of slaving away during my free time on both the game and the TDN tutorial, I'm finally at a point where I can show off the finished product. As with any project, there is always a big list of "nice to haves" and polish stuff that could have kept me busy on this for the next year - but I am at the point now where I'm happy with how the game turned out.
For the tutorial, there's still 2 more sections I want to write up on music/sound effects and the title screen.
Any questions, comments, or suggestions for improvements are welcome.
Game can be downloaded from the Asteroids Tutorial Hub Page or direct here: tdn.garagegames.com/wiki/images/3/3a/TGB_AstralObjects.zip

I really like how you did the credits with the floating lines, never saw that in a game before. This game should ship with the engine. Or at least should have a huge link inside the documentation.

Quick note for everyone on the zip file above, that's the windows version. I'll see what I can do about getting a mac build together soon.

Thanks Michael. Having owned T2D/TGB for almost 3 years now, it's a great feeling to finally have put together something that could almost be considered a complete game (even if it's just a remake of a 30 year old arcade title).Quick note for everyone on the zip file above, that's the windows version. Oh, and for the floating credit lines: the idea behind it was to have the credits float around in space like the asteroids. All I did was modify the random velocity behavior and attach it (plus the world limit wrap behavior) to offscreen t2dTextObjects, so when the credits button is clicked they are given some velocity. If you click the credits button again, it will change their direction and speed.

That's the point. Finishing something. Over 90%, maybe even more, game creators will never finish something. And making a remake is a great project anyway.

Thanks for the great tutorial, I have learnt a lot from it.
can't wait to learn more about sound effects, this area seams to be lacking the most in TGB tutorials.
Any chance of a download verion for Mac ?
Cheers
Simon

Pretty sweet game! I wasn't very good at it though! Very good representation of asteroids.
