How to modify object Orientation in 3d Max?

Hi:
I have a spear that stands on the ground. Then I modified its orientation so it lies on the ground. After I exported it (added collision mesh) , everything works except the object still stands on the ground (in show-tool-pro and my game) as it is before modification.
Any idea what's going on? Please help. It seems to be easy to do. But I have gone through hours and havn't figured it out.

You need to adjust the pivot point. do a google search for adjust the pivot point in 3ds max.

i had the same problem with one of my models. The pivot point is not the same as its orientation.
