Missing polys from my arches
by Ted McClung · in Constructor · 01/16/2008 (10:51 am) · 4 replies

Built in Hammer, exported from Constructor 1.0.3. It looks fine in Hammer and Constructor, but when I export to Torque I get polys missing. Random polys too, it's different every time I export. It only seems to happen on the arches.
Any advice?

Awesome, worked like a charm. A very quick response too. Thanks a lot!

EDIT: the WHY....
The problem is coming from the two arches brush overlapping. This is making a 'sliver point' BSP calculation, basically an floating point precision problem for BSP. You may notice that moving the arches so they do NOT overlap at the 'feet' will replace the missing face. Also by building them from DETAIL brush, they will not try to 'cut' each other at the place they meet, also solving the problem...
