mixed feelings with Ikaruga and Treasure

I have been a fairly loyal treasure fan for years now... I mean with games like Gunstar Heroes and Radiant Silvergun, who wouldnt be? but Treasure has recently in my opinion decieved its consumers (either intentionaly or not) to buy an inferior product... several months ago they declaired that Ikaruga (also called Radiant Silvergun II by fans) would be the last game published for the Dreamcast, and that it would only have one release in Japan only (much like they did with Radiant Silvergun on the Saturn)... with this press release pretty much every Treasure fan eagerly pre ordered their import copy only to find out days before the dreamcast release (when there was nothing they could do about it) that the game would also be released on the gamecube stateside in January.... now what this means to me and all the other loyal treasure fans who pre ordered their japanese copies:
1) we spent a good 30 dollars more than we would have for a domestic copy
2)we have to load a boot disc in our DC before we can play the game because it is an import (very inconvenient)
3)we are stuck with a copy in japanese that none of us can read.... when we could have had a cheaper, easier to use copy in English
4)we will probably end up blowing another 50 dollars for the US gamecube version when it comes out, just so we dont have to deal with the boot disc and foreign language, then the 70-80 dollar import copies we bought will probably just rot on our shelves
like I said, I dont know if Treasure did this on purpose, but either way, Treasure screwed over its most loyal fans... I doubt I'm ever going to pre-order anything they make ever again, and my opinion of them has seriously been lowered.... I was just wondering if anybody else felt the same way?

Then again, you always run the risk of being screwed when you import a game like that. I remember two or so years back, when I almost ordered Castlevania Chronicles, thinking it would be a collector's item later and they'd hike the price on me. A week later Konami defied popular speculation and announced the game, which debuted for $20. Whats funny is the import is like $60 still and I think the American cover was much cooler.
