Need blending help.

How do you control the blend start time in a sequence? Right now the engine starts blending into a new sequence right when they key is hit at any point during the sequence already being played but I need to be able to control when it starts blending into the new animation. So if there’s a 30 frame sequence and a key is hit on 10 continue playing the sequence until 25 then blend into the next animation.
