If you got PD Particles here (or elsewhere - such as part of Comic Book Creator 2) this might interest you:
Kurv Studios will host another free seminar online through WebEx - this weekend, on Sunday Jan. 6 2008 at 3 pm Central time (1pm Pacific). Limited to 30 attendees, sign in early. It's free, no password needed.
The presentation is on Project Dogwaffle Professional (PD Pro), the grand-daddy of PD Particles, and will cover several things including the creation of seamless textures, looping animated textures, using the for displacement map animation,... and also using the particle brush painting system (Optipustics) similar to what's in PD Particles, including the use of alpha channel and saving for 3D billboards.
Many other things can be done with particle brushes, other than painting foliage, tall grass and shrubbery. See for example these new tutorials:

Happy New Year, and happy painting with particles!
