Torque constructor issues - exporting with shapes

Hey how would I export a .map that I make in the constructor to a .dif and have it export with shapes in it. I noticed the pipe models that come with the constructor and saw they were implemented in the barebones map...how? Every time I import a pipe shape into a .map and then export as .dif the shapes do not appear in the game, and they also don't appear when I reload .the map in the constructor. Thanks in advance

Narrowed it down and found WHAT the problem is but not HOW to fix it. That export doesn't like portals. Now how would I be able to export with portals and keep my shapes? I need portals to keep weather effects outside of my buildings
