Constructor Problems

I wasn't sure if this would go in the 3D Modeling forum, so I just posted here.
I just bought TGE for my Mac, and it works great. So now I've downloaded Constructor, and it seems to work fine until I try and save or export. For example, I just barely made a little tower and stuff, and then clicked Save As, selected where I wanted it, and clicked Save, and then it just crashed. Same thing happens when I try to export to a DIF. And by the way, what is a Legacy DIF?

If you wanted, you could use gtk radiant to make your level, texture it, place portals in it.. etc. But, as Stephan suggested, for now, bootcamp /xp would be much easier. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

QuArk is great, powerful and once you learn how to use it; you will get allot more work done in the same time time it takes to get one simple building exported and working correctly from Constructor.

I admit my objects don't require portals.
But I agree QuArk is good enough and sometimes better (grid snapping). I prefer Constructor texturing though.

Caylo: it depends, really. I'm only exporting with map2dif from constructor and it works.I admit my objects don't require portals.

Check out the Constructor section of this forum.Quoting myself:
Quote:Since there is no support from GarageGames about Leopard issues with Constructor, and working with XP is quite boring (I'm a true Mac user for years); I've started today testing Constructor with Codeweavers CrossOver, an application I've a beta tester for, and I'm now a customer.
I reported on this forum, months ago, it could be used with QuArk. And it is it still right.
Today, I did install Constructor and will continue testing later in the day.
So far it works, but there is a slight glitch in the top menu. It is not visible, but it is present and working. You will have to figure where are the words...
If you want to test it by yourself, CrossOver offers a demo for 30 days, and is then a cheaper solution than a complete XP license.
More to report later.
Stay tuned.

Constructor cannot be used with Leopard.
They are aware of the situation since the beginning, but stating it is free, you are supposed to check it yourself.
Only solutions:
GTK Radiant
use BootCamp and XP (like me). You can even then use QuArk instead, you will certainly have more support from the programmers than you could here.
