Large Brushes (multi-tile)

I was looking at the tutorial for the old tilemap editor, prior to the inline editor now a part of TGB, and it was talking about ways to define sets of tiles as brushes. This would be extremely useful, as right now if you have a background element that is composed of multiple tiles and you want to move it to a different part of the tilemap, you have to essentially erase and redraw the whole thing (or eyedropper and then draw each tile).

The methods for creating multi-tile brushes listed in the tutorial don't seem to do anything in TGB, so I was wondering if there is still a way to do this? Or is it a planned future feature? Right now drawing large tilemaps is extremely time consuming.

Thanks,

-Ryan

No way currently.
If I had to do something like this, I might actually try to revive an old version of the tile editor. Not sure if it would still work, but... maybe.

I think they were set to stay compatible somehow.

I didn't had much time to use the old tile editor, but I do know it was significantly better than the actual one, just like how the 1.1.3 animation editor is way better than the 1.5 one.

I wish GG didn't had the idea to replace good editor's features by bad en bugged ones :/

Question for GG's employees: Is this feature going to be available in future releases?

I need the same feature in TGB (and TXB...) :(

Tilesets are almost useless without multi-tiles painting. I don't understand why this has disappeared from the tool.
