TGEA and DIF Static Mesh support

I thought I remembered reading in one of prior releases of TGEA that the engine now supports Static Meshes as part of a DIF. However, when looking at Constructor it doesn't appear to have an "export as TGEA DIF" option, only an "export as Legacy TGEA DIF." Am I missing something?

Ok, by "works fine" do you mean you can get a DIF with static meshes (a DTS object that has been imported into a Constructor DIF) into TGEA? That's the key feature I'm wondering about, those DTS objects that have been imported into Constructor.

By "works fine" i mean i import into constructor a *.map file and then export it as DIF. I am not sure a DTS object can get converted in constructor to a DIF object. As David Blake once said "It doesn't work that way". So you can't obtain a DIF from DTS. I hope I didn't misunderstand you but you want to import a DTS in constructor and export it as DIF.right? if so i'm sure you can't do that.

Actually, you can--it's one of the coolest things about Constructor!
To the original question however, I'm not 100% sure if it does work currently for TGE-A exporter built in to Constructor 1.03. I'll ping Matt F about it and hopefully he'll have a chance to respond.

EDIT:
It should work with the export to DIF functionality in TGEA. I don't remember if I tried it in 1.0.3, though.

DTS's can be embedded in DIF's, but it doesn't perform a conversion step in the way Game Level Builder does. Constructor allows you to embed them, but you have to have at least one valid (structural?) brush, I believe, for export to work. I haven't tested NULL texturing that brush.EDIT:
