Realtime bone manipulations-Example request

by Ivo Dimov · in Torque Game Engine · 12/11/2007 (4:27 am) · 2 replies

Hi all!

I'm still a noobie, but I'm using the book for learning the scripting part ( I've some modelling, texturing and game design skills). So, my exact question is:

Does anyone know a simple example in which there are some scripts for direct realtime skeleton manipulation to recommend? I'll be very thankful if someone could explain shortly how such a thing can be done. To be more precise- Remember the look round of Lara Croft in TR2, or another 3rd person game, in which the character rotates his body and head in player-controlled direction, while the legs are following predefined animation- runningg, jumping etc. I'm using the last version- Emaga6 I think as a base...

PLEASE HELP!!! =(

This can be done via blend animation. The "look" animation of the SpaceOrk in TGEA uses this kind of animation. Anyway you have to read everything around about animations to get an understanding of what a blend animation is.
