TGBX Resolution Issue

When I launch TGB.exe (1.0.5.1) it opens the editor in a full-screen mode, but with a low resolution (800x600?). At this res, much of the interface is broken - elements to add a component have disappeared, and text overlaps everywhere. How do I change the resolution for full screen mode?
When I press Alt-Enter, I get an error regarding "resizing bitmaps". That error has been posted in these forums, but none of the work-arounds actually work for me. I don't need a windowed mode, I just need a workable resolution in full-screen mode.
Is there a work-around that allows a higher resolution in full-screen mode?
Thanks!
Jamie

Thanks for the "setres" suggestion - but that triggers the same error "resizing bitmaps" as when I press Alt-Enter. I'm really stuck here...

"error resurrecting texture cache. Possible cause, a bitmap was deleted during the course of gameplay."
I haven't even opened up the project yet when I get this screen.
I tried the "~ setres()" solution but it didn't window TXB.
At this point, I'm at a standstill and can no longer user TXB, which I was very excited about learning and put in many hours on it so far.
What has changed on my computer?
-Installed Gimp 2.4.2
-Installed GIMP Animation Package
-I had changed the screen depth from 32-bit to 16-bit for non-game viewing, but I've changed it back
-Installed CeasarFTP Server
-Uninstalled various freeware video editors and image editors
-Uninstalled Adobe Creative Suite 3 Master collection demo

I am 15 days into my TXB trial and all of a sudden TXB opens in full-screen mode. I uninstalled/reinstalled with no effect. I then looked on this forum and saw the "Alt-Enter" solution, but when I do that I get the following error:"error resurrecting texture cache. Possible cause, a bitmap was deleted during the course of gameplay."
